Staying Mindful

February 19, 2025 at 9:30 am - February 26, 2025 at 11:00 am

DETAILS

Wednesdays, February 19 and 26 (2 sessions), 9:30am – 11:00am
Chizuko Horiuchi, BA and Renee Pepsin, PhD

Do you want to stay motivated to practice mindfulness?
Do you crave reminders to stay in the present moment?

This program is designed to help you to stay connected to your practice by creating physical reminders of your “wisdom texts”, resources which gives you wisdom or deepen your clarity. “Wisdom text” can be actual texts like scriptures or teachings. They can also be a social media meme, a quote or text in your favorite books or any type of art. Select “wisdom texts” that you would like to bring into the physical world by putting them to paper. Select any creative activity to keep the wisdom text available as a reminder for your mindfulness practice. For example, bookmark with a quote, collage with pictures, calligraphy, and Zentangle. It could be a sticky note or a card. You could paint a rock or quilt a square! No artistic or materials ability required!

In session 1 we will share the wisdom texts each of us selected in advance and our plans to put them to paper. Please bring up to 3 wisdom texts you intend to use as reminders to stay present. Expect to leave this session with a plan to create your reminders to stay present.

In session 2 we will share our progress with our reminders to stay present.

If you register for session 1 on 2/19, you are registered for session 2 on 2/26 as well.
