When someone we care about faces memory challenges, it’s essential to prioritize self-care. By doing so, we can be the most supportive and understanding companions possible.
Join author Marjorie Burke, a local beacon of hard-earned experience, wisdom and compassion. Marjorie has not only studied this subject extensively but has also lived it firsthand. Her five insightful books on caring for herself while caring for her husband provide invaluable guidance, drawing from her personal experiences and deep understanding of the complexities involved when a loved one is experiencing memory issues.
Former White Birch Center Board President and Henniker resident Louise Cyr will be facilitating alongside Marjorie. Louise and her husband Mike are at the beginning of this journey. Together, their courage and determination to face cognitive decline head-on, while not easy, is largely the inspiration and driver behind our gathering.
